  • It was a pleasant mid day interlude I had on Saturday.  I met Charlotte (Ryans lover) and my almost Granddaughter in law.  We had a lovely lunch (Sushi of course) which she dearly loves (does it get any better than that?).  We had a most delilghtful time and they want me to officiate at their wedding.  That would be very cool I think and I agreed to do it and now I need to figure out the mechanics of it.

Then we went to a friends Art show and saw some neat stuff.  I am truly blessed as all of these neat people keep popping into my life.

    Thought for the day:

There is only one success- – to be able to live your life in your own way.

  • Busy time.  Been lots, done lots.

Met buddies in St. Louis.  Dorothy and Paul were incredible amounts of fun.  We went to the Arch, the musuem of westward expansion, the hard rock cafe in Union Station.  Found out that detours frustrate my new GPA.  Don’t know when I have had more fun.  As a bonus I won enough money at the casino to buy the Rouxster a pedal train. Linda didnt come cause she is getting ready to go to Bangledash on a Misson.  I ate her portions of the food.  Here are a couple of pics of dorothy and I alone cause paul took the pic.

  • Thought to ponder for the day.

The only thing that belongs to you is that which is inside of you.  Any thing else is at best temporary ownership.

I had a hard time really understanding this one.  For example I had a sound system at work that I treasured.  I bought it, I own it, it is mine!  Or was until the days the office was burglarized and I no longer had it.  I still owned it but I didn’t have it.  But I will always have me.

The mass of people lead lives of quiet desperation.  What is called resignation (victim hood) is confirmed desperation.    Henry David Thoreau

I am a listener.  I listen and I listen a lot.  What I hear most of the time I listen is that someone thinks the world would be a better place if someone else would only change. I am eternally grateful that my contentment lies within my soul and not in anothers behavior.

blessed are the free spirits of the world for they shall inherit a multitude of bliss.  david

    I am I

    You are you

But if I am I because you are you

    then I am not I

    then you are not you.

    So I shall be I

    And you must be you.

If I need to change to be accepted I should take the road less traveled and not change for someone else because when I do I will no longer be me.

  • Message of the day.

If you are magnetically attracted to someone they are probably not good for you.

I have seen this a lot in my life and travels.  A magnate is a strong electrical impulse that pulls things in.  If you are the thing that is being pulled it you might find it is hard to get back out.  Bear in mind that a magnate never stops working.  It is difficult to find a place of peace in life if you are constantly being pulled.

My life is going well right now. I don’t understand why I keep needing to learn the same lesson over and over again but I seem on that path.  My favorite saying from the hippie growth center that changed my life is “It is not what happens to you that causes your pain and suffering but how you react to it.  I once again learned that no one out there needs to change in order for me to be happy and if I try to change them I will be deep along the path to unhappiness.
