  • Something or other

Blogging is like new years resolutions to me I always intend to do it on a regular basis and seldom make more than a day in a row.  Today, however, is today and I aM blogging. I don’t want to piss off the gods of the universe by trying to be perfect hence the capital m.  I looked back at some of blogs of yesteryear and went wow!! I said that.  It does go to show me that I have let my mind atrophy to a large extent and that maybe I should start to use it again.  I finished having coffee with a friend and I kind of slipped a tiny bit into my wild and loquacious side and he got as far back in his seat as he could get and I just chuckled inside.  I am so glad that I understand what someone else thinks about me is none of my business as it makes life so much easier.  There are places that post a list of words for aspiring writers to use in a story, are any of you familiar enough to share the web site of one?  I have been blown away by some of the things I have been learning about powerful women in history and how they were very often not credited for the things they accomplished.  If you have Netflix and are curious you could check a documentary called Top Secret Rosie’s  which is a spin off on Rosie the Riveter of WWII fame.  She was a female in a male occupation because most of the men who used to work in the shipyards were serving in the Navy.  One of the first Department of Defenses   computers was a small group of women at a table who were college math majors and answered the technical questions about mortar coordinates and stuff like that.  It is so interesting that all of this data, instead of being used by men in smoke filled rooms was dispensed by highly trained and skilled women.  Makes me wonder how much of the work in “Mad Men” was done by males.  Pardon my misspellings  but my dog ate the dictionary.

  • A friend asked me if I missed the sixties and I told him I am still living in them.  I have a friend who can always find four leaf clovers in a clover patch.  I can’t see them at all.  If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers who pickled them and put them back on the vine.

  • Food for thought.  The CEO is in total charge of a company but the office boy can shred the wrong document and mess up the company.  Hmmnnmn wonder if Exon-Mobile needs an office boy?

Got my feelilngs hurt today as a friend called me a rebel.  Can you imagine such a thing.

  • I was reading about a writer and she said she had all these characters running around in her head and her writing consists of developing a storyline for them which is easy for her as they have a personality and she just writes consistantly  with that personality. I thought that was neat.  When I write I have to construct character that would fit the story.  I would try her way but the characters I invite into my head never materialze.

no matter how tentative, that your own life

is worth some attention, and that your own self is worth discovering.

  • sorry I couldnt figure out how to download the photos.  I did what I thought would work and it did not

  • This is Wednesday morning and I am trying to encourage myself to write on a daily basis. I noticed that it’s been a week since I last wrote but sometimes it’s been a few months so I hope that’s a positive sign. I am absolutely enthralled with my Kindle and now my kindle fire and am averaging reading 7 to 10 books a week. Since I have a significant memory failure due to taking medication for five months I’m not sure I could tell you exactly what I read and I couldn’t give you a synopsis of any of the books, but then I read books that the normal bear doesn’t usually read and it doesn’t make a lot of difference anyway. I am searching for a programed method of regaining memory and found one for $69 but I’m not about to pay that much money hoping it will work. If any of you are aware of a program that does work let me know. It’s going to be a subdued Christmas around here because our retirement program doesn’t include a lot of expendable cash. Neither one of us need anything anyway. I had a wonderful experience last Monday as I officiated at the wedding ceremony for my second oldest grandson and his bride.  My grandson married a free spirited person who got married barefoot wearing a beautiful white dress. (my kind of people for  sure).  I tried to upload a couple of pics but I am not sure they worked but I am off for a while.   keep the faith david

  • Here we go again

I cannot tell you how many times I have started back on Xanga fully intending to  rebuild my contacts with others on Xanga  and each time I have not followed up. I have had two footprints this week and used to get 20 or 30 a day.  I am a strange person who can build nice pleasant relationships online and have deep wonderful feelings and conversations and for no reason I disappear.   I have never been quite sure that I was born on the right planet but have grown to accept the fact that there is no reason to dwell on things because if that is true I still cant do anything about it.  I have had two numerology readings and one said that I was a Master Teacher and the other said I was a walker between worlds.  I dont know which is right because I have taught and love teaching  but I don’t think I did the type of teaching they were talking advocating.  “They” are interesting people even if I have never really known who they are.  Enough for today I hope that I can be back tommorrow.
