  • I think I need to go to the Butterfly Place again.  It was not a good butterfly season in our back yard.  I got a couple of decent shots at a park.  But we missed the migration for some reason this year.  I have missed blogging and reading blogs so I am making some time to get back to it.  How long that will last I never know lol.  I contemplated retiring this year but have decided I am to young to retire and I dearly love what I am doing.  Fall has come upon us with a flourish.  Cold winter, very hot summer, late fall.  Strange weather for sure.  I liked Wild Hogs, laughed really hard.

  • Hi xanga peeps.  Been really busy in this part of the world and obviously I have not been doing my xanga thing.  Have tons of pictures to play with but havent gotten around to it.  The weather has turned cold.  My heart goes out to the California peeps in the fire zone.  60 minutes had a scary piece about how they are getting worse almost every year.  Sure looks like our Planet is talking back to us.  Our brutal ice storm followed by an abnormally hot summer.  Lakes drying up in Florida and around the country.  I can’t decide if it is a natural cycle like dust bowl days of the thrities, killer dust storms in the fifties or if we are really messing up our planet.  Any ideas out there.  Sure am missing the Rouxster.  Any body wanna pick me up in your Lear Jet and drop me off. lol

  • Here is a picture of lover and baby Rouxster

Not much new around Springfield in Missouri for sure.  I am frightfully busy.  Up by nine every morning (can you imagine such a thing?).  Used to have a couple slow days a week and now even Saturdays are filling up.  It is pretty strange when work out does internet poker on the old priority list.

  • Lover and I went to Steal your Dollar City for the American Craft and Cowboy Festival.  We had a lot of fun and ended up in the Hard luck diner listening to the singing waiters and waitresses.  It was most pleasant and the Red Beans and Rice had an alarming effect as they started floating out the anus.

If you havent already guessed food gets my attention almost every time.

Lover says it is absolutly amazing that I didnt end up in a real one of these.

I have never met a calorie I didnt like

Lots of wonderful crafts like this fountain

    Did I mention food

The guy on the left didnt move the entire time we were there

  • Last day in Tacoma.  Lots of memories and lots of grandbaby time.  Annnnd of course a Starbucks for wisdom hehe.  “All children need a laptop.  Not a computer but a human laptop.  Moms, dads, grannies and grandpas, aunts, uncles–someone to hold them, read to them, teach them.  Loved ones who will embrace them and pass on the experience, rituals, and knowledge of a hundred previous generations. Loved ones who will pass to the next generation their expectations, their hopes and their dreams.  General Colin L. Powell

What is your parenting style?  I actually had two styles, I taught my two oldest, that the world revolved around social activities and alcohol and they should think for themselves and question teachers and others.  They had social and dining graces when they were in grade school.  That was my world at the time.   When my youngest came along I was not drinking and was actively involved in her life.  I brought back Burgess and Cosgriff books from the growth center and we learned about animal development and consciousness.  They are very different people.  They are all successful in their own way.  Youngest and hubs are very very active parents and the other two were not as hands on active.

I love the way that Bees and Merridian and Queenie parent (at least from my perception.)

Lover and I are in Tacoma to visit grandbaby.  He is pretty cool.  Heck I might even take a picture or two.  Going to Portland tommorrow and staying in the ACE Hotel.  That sounds cool.  How much was a loaf of bread when you were 10?  Or more apprapo for many xangies.  How many six packs could you buy for 10 dollars.
